The Ultimate Travel Hack for Cleaning your Clothes on the Go… Laundry Sheets

My son and I have recently been on a 3 week Soccer trip to the UK. This meant living in a range of hotels in England, Wales and Scotland. This also meant… we had to do washing. Joy, oh joy! But this is the reality of traveling… living in hotels and out of a suitcase. Anyway, I got to try first hand the Eco-Wash Laundry Detergent Strips from Norwex. Read on for my laundry travel tips and how I found the detergent strips.

“The best laundry sheets for travel”

So what are laundry sheets?

  • They are an ultra-conconcentrated laundry sheet, that can be torn to the size you require (excellent for travel)
  • They have plant-based power boosters that reduce tough odours and stains like dairy, chocolate, berries, gravy, coffee, tea, oils, grease, makeup, blood, sweat, grass and more…
  • Low sudsing & dissolves in all water temperatures

How did I use them for travel?

So, the biggest tip… is to do a little each day- if you are not using a laundry service all the time, it helps to keep up with the washing of delicates and clothing items.

  1. I filled the sink, tore off a small piece of the laundry strip and added it to the water (1/4 a strip for the sink). You could use a bath too, just increase the amount of detergent used.
  2. I swished it around and the laundry strip dissolved with NO yucky residue (AMAZING! And as an aside, my hands weirdly felt moisturised afterwards and I have very sensitive skin, yeah)
  3. Add your clothing items, I let them soak for 5-10 minutes
  4. I agitated items and rubbed each item together on itself, to make sure it was clean.
  5. I threw the item in the bath or shower until I’d done each piece of clothing, and then rinsed each item once I’d emptied the sink.
  6. I wrung out the water from the items and used the “towel trick” if needed (where you lay your item on a towel and then roll the towel to get rid of excess liquid)
  7. I hung them in warm places in the room, on top of shower rails, used coat hangers and we also had a travel clothes line which was super handy! When you travel, you use what you have! đŸ™‚

How I found them…

Honestly, I LOVED them and shared them with others in our group, who loved them too. So small, light and effective. I loved that they dissolved easily and didn’t react with my very sensitive hands. It was just EASY. I mean no one likes to have to clean on holidays, right?! BUT if you have to do it, let’s make it an EASY and effective process!!
